Hello & welcome to our blog of our 2023 Australian mainland holiday.
We have a few overseas followers who follow our adventures, so we are including details of roads & locations as we know they follow us on Google Earth.
Today we left Rupanyap and travelled through Horsham and onto Goroke for lunch and to check out the silo art. The mural at Goroke is of native birds of the town and region.

Our next destination was the small town of Kaniva in the far west of Victoria. Surrounding Kaniva are vast wheat fields and sheep stations – industries that have flourished here since the late 1800s. Large plantations of canola can also be found in the district, creating a colourful display during the early springtime. They have had a lot of rain in this region. We are so enjoying the artwork in these towns. The Kaniva artwork design features the Australian Hobby bird. The Australian Hobby is relatively slender and long-winged. It is often seen hunting in vegetated urban areas, as well as in almost any lightly timbered country. To the left of the bird is the scented sun orchid with the salmon sun orchid on the right. Flowering occurs between September and November, and they generally only open on warm, humid days.

Now heading east we travelled through Nhill until Dimboola where we are free camped for the night at the recreation ground.

The silo paintings are absolutely beautiful a nd brilliant
Hope your weather soon improves , be safe
