Hi everyone, welcome to our first post of our 2024 journey.
We have a few overseas followers who follow our adventures, so we are including details of roads & locations as we know they follow us on Google Earth.
Last Thursday, we drove from our home in Bellerive, Hobart to Devonport on Tasmania’s northwest coast (275 km). We then took the Bass Strait Ferry (Spirit of Tasmania) for an overnight sailing to Geelong in Victoria. (461 km)

We stayed at Marcus Hill about 30 km out of Geelong for a few days whilst we caught up with our daughter and youngest son and their families. It was extra special to enjoy our youngest grandchild’s first birthday party.

We left Geelong and headed west across Victoria through the townships of Ballarat, Horsham and into South Australia and are now overnighting at Bordertown.
We thankyou for reading or subscribing to our blog and look forward to your comments and feedback.

Are you doing the Birdsville, Big Red, Tom Kruse track to Marree, to Coober Pedy and Alice Springs.
If so, have a beer for me at the William Creek Hotel.
