October 1st-4th
We left Seymour & made the 100km trip to Melbourne for the last mainland stay of our holiday. We found our caravan park easily enough – aren’t GPS in cars great. Thursday night we went to the World Restaurant & celebrated my birthday. We were joined by my children Michel & Trevor & Trevor’s partner Scott. It was a great night but nobody wanted to get up & dance with me!!!!!!!
On the Friday we toured the Yarra Valley & saw some delightful scenery & rural homes. Some of the little gravel roads would have definitely been 4wd if it had been wet. We had lunch in a quaint café in Yarra Glen. There were quite a few sports cars about the town. That night we visited a local club for some dining & a little gambling – we both lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the Saturday the 3rd of October we caught up with Michel & Trevor & after finishing lunch in Williamstown we checked out their new digs. We then journeyed to Station Pier where after an hour & three quarters of snail’s pace embarkation driving we were on board. At 1930 hours we departed mainland Australia.
Today we awoke at 0600 & disembarked at 0720 & made our way quickly to Hobart. We partially unloaded the camper trailer & car before joining my mum & dad for a belated Father’s Day/Birthday celebration.
OUR TRIP HAS COME TO AN END BUT WE HAVE SOME MARVELLOUS MMEMORIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m already planning our next one as well, and we ain’t even home yet ! We are still in Canberra, home in November. We must catch up in person and exchange memories. This is addictive isn’t it ?
