Hi everyone, sorry we have not posted for a while ……………..been difficult getting a decent signal…………..but we are still having a great time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What have we been up to ? Well, last weekend we caught up with my friends from PNG days….Clive & Margaret Bassett. We had a great time together & unfortunately Cheryl now knows a ;lot more about my past (lol} After tok save lukim yu behind long Clive na Margaret we headed to Goondiwindi where we found a great free camp & a large statue of that revered Australian inland fish…the Murray Cod

From Goondiwindi we headed south toward Gilgandra but across to Mudgee & up to the old goldmining town Hillend which was via a very challenging road.
Hillend was a quaint village & we had a great campsite before heading to another gold mining town at Sofala
We had planned to head to Newnes for a couple of days but had to change plans because of the enormous amount of water from the massive floods & storms which have also caused massive road damage. It is also the week of the Bathurst Motor Races & the traffic is really heavy. We headed out away from Bathurst through the little town of Canowyna before free camping at Gooloogong adjacent to the pub. Today we travelled south easterly through Young & Cootamundra before settling down in a caravan park in Gundagai. It is a unique caravan park – never seen individual sites like it….as the photo shows.

Keep on trucking Stephen & Cheryl, and enjoy
