ANZAC territory!

Hello everyone,

We have travelled from Esperance back to Ravensthorpe where we had lunch & then onto a free camp past Wellstead & before Albany.

Today we travelled a further 75 kms on to Albany & set up in a caravan park where we shall be for the next 3 days. After setting up we visited the ANZAC Memorial which was good. Albany was where the first ANZAC dawn service was held in 1930. A lot of work has gone into the monuments & infrastructure as well as preservation of existing buildings & coastal defences. Two convoys left Albany for WWI Battles with 40,000 troops on board. Sadly, it was the last view of Australia a lot of men ever had.
