Whilst in Melbourne we caught up with Stephen’s daughter , Michel, and youngest son Trevor. We also enjoyed a nice meal at The Bridge Hotel, Werribee with them and their partners.
Today, (Monday) we left Werribee and travelled to Gisborne via Melton. Melton is an urban area approximately 35 km west of Melbourne.
Gisborne is known for its country homesteads, tree-lined streets, restaurants and cafes. The town has become a popular tree change destination for Melbourne residents seeking large leafy blocks, a quiet lifestyle and “lovely little community” within easy commuting distance from the city.
We then got onto the Calder Highway and turned off before Bendigo and travelled onto Boort where we are camped at the showgrounds for two nights.

If going via Canberra The Burns Club put on a great lunch.
