After a relaxing 3 days at Daly River we again travelled on a fairly ordinary road to Adelaide River and through Batchelor to a bush camp near Litchfield National Park.
Litchfield National Park is an ancient landscape shaped by water. It features numerous stunning waterfalls which cascade from the sandstone plateau of the Tabletop Range.
The Park covers approximately1500 sq km and contains representative examples of most of the Top End’s natural habitats.

Toward the end of our first day in the park we had our way back to the township of Batchelor when we experienced engine trouble with our Mitsubishi Triton Dual Cab. the car was undriveable. Unfortunately, the engine trouble was beyond the capability of the mechanic at Adelaide River so we have had to have our car and caravan taken to Darwin. The car is at the Darwin Mitsubishi dealer and we are hopeful they can look at it next week!

Loved Lichfield, bad news about the car, I drive Mitsubishis & never had a problem, always found them bulletproof. Could it be the driver???

Yep. It is a special place. My Mitsubishi which I have had since brand new has now done 192,000 kilometres and has been great up to now

Brings back some memories and not good ones. Our hitch hiking experience from Denham to Geraldton cost over $4,500. All sent to make life on the road interesting. Just stay safe the rest will sort itself out.
