In our last blog we advised you we were returning to “the Isa” to get the car serviced. We had the car done, new tyres fitted and headed off. Sadly, we didn’t leave Mount Isa due to mechanical issues. Our car break down in Mount Isa could not have happened at a worse location.
We broke down at the busiest roundabout ion Mt Isa. Thankfully, the police and a couple of locals were a great help. The car and van were transported back to Mitsubishi Motors and a caravan park respectively.
Initial engine diagnosis was that my diesel injectors were gone which meant “expensive repairs” Fortunately, a fuel line problem was the culprit. When we got the car back we were too late to go to Boulia.
We are now at “the Isa ” till Wednesday then heading to Winton.

Sorry on hear your bad and sad news Stephen, but glad you got it sorted in the end Best wishes and stay safe 👍👍👍👍

Hi Henry, thanks for your comment. We have got the car back now. It turns out it was faulty workmanship when we had had the car serviced the day before. It is all good now thank Heavens.

When in Winton don’t miss Anrow’s wall.
While at the wall you may be able to pick up some spare parts for your car.
