Hello everyone,
We last blogged from the Clare Valley in South Australia where we stayed at Brinkworth for a couple of days. We enjoyed checking out the region and some silo art in Farrell Flats.

After leaving Clare, we travelled through Auburn, Saddleworth, Eudunda, Sedan to Mannum on the Murray River. After a nice camp at Mannum we travelled south through Tailem Bend to Coonalpyn.

At Bordertown we arranged our permit for Tasmania which could only be done less than 24 hours before arriving in Tasmania. We were permitted to transit Victoria (470 km.) to the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry stopping only for fuel and toilet stops.

Once on board we had to go straight to our cabin and remain there until disembarkation the next morning.

We disembarked at 0630 Hrs. and after an hour getting through the border controls we headed down the road to home! It was sad to have cut our holiday short by six weeks but it was the right decision.
OBSERVATIONS, COMMENTS, FACTS, FIGURES etc
POSITIVES
Silo Art, the Spannerman, Ularu, Daly River, Darwin fishing, catching up with Damien and Susan Apostel, some great free camps, Bakeries, Andrew the tow truck driver.
NEGATIVES
Covid 19 meant lots of places not functioning or closed, Cheryl hospitalised in Darwin, Border Covid 19 permits and stipulations, car breaking down at Litchfield NP & Mt. Isa, missing the Boullia Camel Races, not seeing my children in Melbourne on the way home.
WORST ROADS
Aramac to Torrens Creek, Waymar to Daly River and Hughenden to Cloncurry
We travelled 18,500 kilometres.
CAMP NIGHTS
On boat 2
Donation Camps 16
Caravan Park 70
Free Camps 32
We have now been home three weeks and loving it. We have caught up with family and friends and now looking forward to …. getting our new caravan aka LEROY. We have just taken delivery of our new tug aka MAXWELL.

Until next time, stay safe. xx
The BAD is not so bad.
The GOOD is very good.
You would not have missed it for the world – Except the Darwin hospital stay.
Well done.
