Not much to report yet!
Hi everyone and welcome to our 2025 Mainland Holiday.
This year our intention is to be away for 4 months and travel east of Melbourne and up the New South Wales coast. We departed Hobart on May 23rd and caught the ferry the Spirit of Tasmania overnight to Geelong.
We then drove to Curlewis to catch up with Stephen’s daughter (Michel) and our grand daughter (Evelyn). The next day we were joined by Stephen’s son Trevor and his husband Scott and their daughter Alyssa. We are truly blessed with great grandchildren.
On the Monday we caught the Queenscliff to Sorrento Ferry.

Sorrento is a town of 2300 people and has some interesting buildings and is located on the Mornington Peninsula. We took the Peninsula Road and then went east to Korrumburra. Korrumburra is a small town and the area is the home of “the Big Worm”. The species of worm known as the South Gippsland Worm averages a metre long and 2 cm in width. They can grow up to 3 metres. We did not encounter any!!!!
The next town was Leongatha and we did not eat any mushrooms! (aussie joke). We spent two nights at Meeniyan which was a quaint town before driving to Foster and the seaside town of Port Welshpool. Port Welshpool has a unique long jetty which is curved to follow the channel.

After Port Welshpool we travelled to Yarram, Longford and down to the coastal hamlet of Golden Beach which is much bigger than we thought. We are spending 2 nights here.

Take care and please feel free to comment.
How wonderful that you are at it again! Jeanette
PS Just found some pics of Stephen and family when Kim visited right after high school, probably 1987.
